Ways to Give and Support

ANNUAL FUND

The primary purpose of the Annual Fund is to support the school’s operating budget for programs like tuition assistance, spiritual emphasis, athletics, music, yearbook, and other extra-curricular activities.

What is Tuition Assistance? At WMC tuition does not cover the actual cost of educating our students. We strive to keep tuition affordable, while ensuring that a quality, Christ-centered education is available to families from a wide economic cross-section.  As a result of this approach, there is a gap between cost and revenues from tuition.  The Annual Fund is used to fill our operational financial obligations. WMC relies on the generosity of our alumni, parents, grandparents, staff, and our entire constituency for financial gifts each year.

ENDOWMENT FUND

A gift to WMC’s endowment is a gift toward long term financial stability.  Gifts to the endowment are gifts that keep on giving.  Gifts given to the endowment fund are invested and only a percentage of the earnings are distributed to the school.  If WMC is able to fully fund the endowment, the disbursement will make up the annual shortfalls in operations and provide long term financial security.   Every gift matters, regardless of size. Each dollar added to the Endowment adds to the academic and spiritual growth of our students. Your financial gift today will provide a positive and lasting Christian influence, for today’s students and for generations to come.

ENSURING GENERATIONS

WMC is blessed to have many friends, family, and alumni designate WMC as a beneficiary of their estates.  Those who have informed WMC of this gift are members of Ensuring Generations. Becoming an Ensuring Generations member is a marvelous way to ensure the health and quality of Christian education in western Michigan.   There is no minimum gift required and no age limit for membership, and anyone is eligible who has done one of the following:

  • Named WMC Endowment Trust Fund as a beneficiary in your will or estate plan.
  • Established a charitable gift annuity, trust or other life income agreement with WMC or the Endowment Trust Fund named as beneficiary.
  • Named WMC or the Endowment Trust Fund as beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement account assets.
  • Ensuring Generations members are recognized by putting their names on a leaf of our endowment tree which is located just outside the chapel room.

Thank you for sharing the plans for a special gift or for your consideration of an estate gift to WMC. Your gift will ensures a quality Christ-centered education is available for students today and for future generations.

If you are interested in becoming a member of Ensuring Generations, have any questions, or would like to inform WMC of your decision to include WMC in your estate please EMAIL US.

Retail fundraising is an innovative way for schools to raise funds for programs and tuition assistance. Both located in Muskegon, DIBS! On Resale (1279 East Apple Avenue) and B2 Outlet Store (1638 Apple Avenue) exist for this purpose. DIBS! sells gently-used donated clothing, home goods, and furniture while B2 retails new name-brand clothing, shoes and home goods acquired from excess inventory from big box stores. Both stores offer deep discounts to customers, employ locals, and have been warmly embraced by the Muskegon community.

The DIBS! and B2 Outlet Store models complement each other. The income from DIBS! is a result of heavy volunteer support, product donations, and thrift-shoppers. B2, which required initial start-up capital from WMCS, thrives on minimal volunteers and bargain shoppers. Both offer local consumers a wide array of product choices and price points.

Follow DIBS! and B2 on Facebook to stay in the loop regarding sales, volunteer opportunities, contests, and more.
