WMC names next Principal
Western Michigan Christian is excited to announce that Mr. David Miedema has been selected as our next Principal beginning with the 2026-27 school year!
Over the coming summer, WMC will also be transitioning parts of our administrative structure as we continue to strengthen leadership across our school community. Mr. Chris Ruiter will move into the role of Head of School for WMC, while Mr. Miedema will serve as Principal. Together, they will continue to lead and support the mission and vision of Western Michigan Christian as we pursue Christ-centered educational excellence.
Mr. Miedema has served at WMC since 2021 as a Social Studies Teacher and Instructional Coach, where he has supported Teaching for Transformation initiatives, facilitated professional development, and invested deeply in student life and spiritual development. He brings a passion for Christian education, teacher development, and student formation, along with a strong commitment to building a Christ-centered culture where both students and staff flourish. In addition to his work in education, David has served as a church elder, grief camp counselor, and refugee foster parent, reflecting his heart for service and discipleship.
